Malcolm in the middle
I can't belief this show is being axed just because a couple of low ratings. It's the best american comedy in years. I know some seasons haven't been that funny but it's picked up again and the start of series 7 has been very funny.
Well at least it will be ending on a high while it's still funny (it's been a great 6 years) unlike friends which stopped being funny like 3 years before it ended. Post Edited (02-21-06 15:17) http://www.hyperlaunch.com/snowpatrol/eyesopen/ ***It's hard to argue when your making sense***
What's FOX going to show now?
What a stupid, stupid, stupid fucking station. Titus Andy Richter Controls The Universe The Tick Greg The Bunny Arrested Development Malcom In The Middle Is The War At Home pulling in the ratings? Quintuplets was a real success, wasn't it? Always killing off the best shows. -Mike Go listen to my band. We're awesome. http://www.myspace.com/rosencrantzny weallgotwoodandnails
that and 24. arrested development better find a home somewhere else. it has a long life ahead of it.

Malcolm in the Middle ran for 7 seasons, which is a damn fine run. Fox has canceled a lot of good shows way too early, but wouldn't lump MitM with them. It's a good show, but it's time for it to end.
Besides, once they put it on Fridays, that was their way of saying the show is done. Fox Fridays have sucked for them since they canceled Dark Angel and John Doe in back to back seasons, both of which pulled in numbers they would kill for now. Serves 'em right.
They also cancelled Millenium, best Friday night show ever.
Shouldn't be lumped with the shows cancelled prematurely, but what do they show now? If anything you'd think the fact that they've got American Idol and 24 would afford them the opportunity to experiment with different shows at the expense of ratings on their respective nights. -Mike Go listen to my band. Dude, Prison Break returns March 20th with all new episodes. It hasn't been canceled. It has been a big hit for Fox.
As for Reunion, I read that even the producers really didn't know exactly who the killer was going to be, although they were leaning towards Sam and Will's daughter. Why did she kill her mother? I don't know. Post Edited (02-22-06 11:07)
They also cancelled Undeclared, and Undeclared was money.

i do agree that malcolm in the middle has had a long run... maybe a little too long. it kind of overstayed it's welcome. 6 seasons tops for all tv shows... it should be a rule.

I agree, Genesis. But the way Fox programmed their schedule, they really didn't have any room on the schedule (unless they wanted to bury it on Thursday or Friday after they canceled Reunion and Killer Instinct). There's also the fact that it started early so they could air 7 episodes before it got pre-empted for baseball.
Hopefully the long break doesn't hurt the show. I don't think it will, since it really doesn't have much competition other than the King of Queens/How I Met Your Mother combo.
