I can't believe he is no. 1 on the hot 100 billboad chart in USA, this is great news and all of us Brit's should be proud. It's the first time a UK artist has been no. 1 in usa since elton john did candle in the wind in 1997.

Whats even better back to bedlam is no. 5 on top 200.

It's quite shocking that you don't have british artists in the chart, the UK top 40 chart is made up of mostly american acts. SEE: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chart/singles.shtml and http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chart/albums.shtml

Most major record labels are American in origin.

of coruse that john hampson is THE MAN, but im talking about the mainstream market right now, james blut is one of the few musician that are in the top that are making good music, not hip hop and that bullshit, just music from the heart =D

Wait a couple of months. They will RUIN him. It goes a bit like this:

His voice is good, unique, his songs are heartfelt but catchy, his album is a good "album", as opposed to a good "collection of 10 or 11 songs", and he's not too overdone in the market right now. And lots and lots and lots of people like him.

So clearly, you have to milk him for all he's worth. If you get anything like we had here, he will become ridiculously overplayed. And when everyone starts getting a little tired of the single, well, we'll just overplay the one before that and the new too. And then maybe introduce another two. So that radios, shops and restaurants are plagued with 4 overplayed songs, and you cannot escape it. And they're all very good. But they're EVERYWHERE. What was "interesting and new and good" becomes "dull and overrated and clich?d", all without having changed a single note.

Popularity is dangerous.

He's still pretty good, though.

I still think that some band, somewhere should call themselves, "Free beer and Naked Women," just to attract loads of people to their gigs.

Yes he is the best in the mainstream market right now, I to did get fed up of your beautiful on the radio but they don't really play that here anymore in the UK. It's the new single wiseman, I think the intro on this song is really good.

Are you fan of gavin degraw or howie day?

is any one else have a problem with the stripped music site. the audio and video clips is meant start directly on there site using windows media player.

when i select and audio/video of the performance it says 'opening' then it says 'connecting to server' then it just says 'closed'. and no video audio track is played.

is it me or just there site. try it the link in my above post.

This is a great idea... like the band EVERYONE GETS LAID, from the movie "PCU". They got a ton of people at their house party....
