U.S. vs Italy
So McBride gets elbowed in the fucking face, blood pooring from underneath his eye, and the guy on Italy gets a red card, and we tackle a guy a second late and get a red card?
Bullshit fucking refs, man. We outplayed those wops and should've taken this game. We'd be set for the next round if we did. -Mike Go listen to my band. We're awesome. http://www.myspace.com/rosencrantzny weallgotwoodandnails
Need to beat Ghana and my distant Italian relatives have to hold it down and we're in like Flynn. It can happen.

They're quick and played a flat Czech team, same way we played a flat Italian team. Who'd have thought that the U.S. and Ghana would be in such good shape at the end of this round?
If we play against Ghana the way we did today I think we've got a real good chance. -Mike Go listen to my band. We're awesome. http://www.myspace.com/rosencrantzny weallgotwoodandnails
God bless Ghana.
Now they must lose. -Mike Go listen to my band. We're awesome. http://www.myspace.com/rosencrantzny weallgotwoodandnails
I will say this... even with only 9 players, the US outplayed the Italians today, and that shocks me. I will agree even that the first red card was deserved for the US, but to give a second yellow to Pope like that, 2 minutes into the second half is atrocious... that ref was a wanker, and an idiot. He booked a total of 8 different people in the match I think, it wasn't that sloppy.

Quick note on the ref who's getting bagged on today.......
Uruguay's World Cup referee among five banned MONTEVIDEO, Jan 9 (Reuters) - Uruguay handed six-month bans to five of its top referees on Wednesday including Jorge Larrionda, who only two days earlier was named by FIFA to officiate at this year's World Cup finals. Five more referee's were warned but not suspended, Matias Vazquez, president of the Uruguayan Football Association's (AUF) School of Referees, told Reuters. Vazquez said FIFA would be informed of the ban and that soccer's world governing body would routinely be expected to endorse it, causing Larrionda to miss the tournament. The bans were announced after a controversial three-month investigation by the AUF into alleged irregularities. Critics said the AUF had not made it clear what the irregularities were. Media reports speculated the investigations were sparked by claims made by other referees. Go listen to my band. We're awesome. http://www.myspace.com/rosencrantzny weallgotwoodandnails
