My last name is of Italian origin. Here's the zany thing, though, right.

See, here's the thing. I was born in the United States. My parents, they were born in the United States. My grandparents, they were born in the United States.

In distant ethnic meaningless terms I'm 25% Italian, 25% Irish, 25% German, and then a mix of English, Scottish and French.

There's this funny thing we have in this country of ours where we have to divide ourselves amongst a bunch of different ethnicities that we don't belong to just so we can feel like we have some history going for us. The thing is that this country in 200 years has come up with a history comparable to the Roman Empire.

The thing that drives me absofuckinlutely insane are these fucking assholes who identify them as anything other than American first of all when they're several generations removed. In terms of the world cup, I'm surrounded by third generation wop guinea **** heads who were pulling for the Italians before the U.S. team and to be completely frank it absolutely fucking sickens me. I will throw any fourth generation bare attachments in the trash in the name of my actual country's own team, and the fact that these fucking misguided wop pieces of **** were waving Italian flags on the Fourth of July makes me want to murder.

I will not root for the Italian team because I can't fucking stand piece of **** Italian Americans or the whiney shitty Italian team.

Why? Who says you can only support the country you're living in? **** loads of people support other teams for all number of reasons. Saying, "You live in America/You're an American, you MUST support the American team above all else regardless of who you'd want to win if they weren't national teams" is pointless.
