I've never really listened to em cause they've always sounded kinda dull, but my aunt got me this cd and i felt i had to at least listen once and while it didn't instantly turn my head i find each time i listen i like it a little more.

I get what you mean about DJs. Any profession that is famous for championing Chaccaron and Las Ketchup shouldn't be trusted to recommend anything.

That song drives me insane because the singer is horribly out of tune/has bad tone at the beginning and it makes me cringe.

I won't post a list of my favorite 2006 albums because I only bought a couple, but of those I did buy, these stood out:

Red Hot Chili Peppers- Stadium Arcadium
Sister Hazel- Absolutely

Totally right about the Fray, I didnt realise that was this year!?

Really well used in Scrubs as well, its how I came accross the song.

I heard it one tree hill and saw them perform it on Jay Leno last year. Heard it radio 1 for the first time last week and Jo Whiley has made it the record of the week from today.

Apparently if you like emotional american rock (I do) and Maroon 5 - This Love, The Calling- Wherever you will go, and Goo Goo Dolls - Iris you will like it.

I think it's ok, it's not up there with the above songs though there just brilliant bands and songs.

Yes, at the beginning of 'how to save a life' the singer does sound out of tune.
