Tell me about the following schools, Americans!

I live just a few minutes from Northwestern. It's a great school, I know a bunch of people that have gone/go there. It is on the expensive side.

as a recent Northwestern grad, i can't give you a unbiased view, I loved it at NU. It is obviously mad expensive, and they hardly give foreign students any aid (as my friends told me). The food differs strongly from dorm to dorm, so do the students. The campus is stunning in the summer, with a beautiful view of downtown chicago (and Nu's chicago campus), sadly chicago winters can be rough. NU is big 10, so it has real sports teams that you can sometimes see on TV (but none are that great at the moment).
Overall, I would recommend it anyone. The students are unbelievable, not only smart but talented in so many ways. You'll see some of the theater works (comedy included), and strong possiblity of seeing some future stars. If you're interested in business (can't tell), the best management consulting firms and investment banks recruit there

just for fun, dont forget that eliane from seinfeld, ross from friends, the main character of scrubs, jerry springer, stephan colbert, a few people from SNL, and many other actors went to NU (as i mentioned before, there's a good chance meeting a potential star), although the lead man of third eye blind did go to berkeley
as for evanston, its quite a split, some of it is really bad neighborhoods, and some of it very expensive, but chicago is a free bus ride away
its kind of funny that you mentioned job in investments, since i'm in investment banking
Why freeze your ass off at Northwester?!! Go to Berkeley!

I believe Mike was referring to working for JP Morgan as being a cog in the machine.
If you don't want to be a cog in the machine, you should get a job at JT Marlin.
sorry mike, i was playing monopoly, what did you say again?
