More details later. Sat April 21 Poppy Fest w/ ninedays and Blessid Union of Souls Lancaster, CA 1:30 PM (yes, we play early!!!!) FREE show. we may add a few Cali dates for that weekend, so stay tuned. or just check back later, ok? john the show is in April!!! NOT March as Brian stated earlier.
that is so cool...! too bad that's in the middle of finals for me. I could fly out for, like, two days in the middle of them...but it's pushing it. i hope they stay for a week and play the next weekend so I can definitely be there.
i was actually thinking about flying out & seeing them live this summer. I hope they have lots of shows and post them far in advance - these frequent flier miles need to get used somehow! -Bryce, Utah
Blessed Union of Souls had a song on the pokemon movie soundtrack which was the first cd I ever owned.
---Anyone perfect must be lying, anything easy has its cost, Anyone plain can be lovely, anyone loved can be lost, What if I lost my direction? What if I lost sense of time? What if I nursed this infection? Maybe the worst is behind---
Hey, good for y'all!! That's awesome to hear you're getting out again. Come make a stop in UTAH on the way!!
Btw, for those who don't know, Blessid Union of Souls had a string of hits years ago, including: Hey Leonardo (She Likes Me For Me) That's The Girl I've Been Telling You About I Believe Rest Of My Life Post Edited (02-13-07 03:28)
yeah, lancaster sucks and it's far, but quit your whining. the band is worth the trip for gods sake.
it really makes me angry, you know? all everybody does is whine and cry that the band never plays anywhere near them and when they finally do start booking shows around the country everybody who lives more than 20 miles from the venue still whines and cries that it's too far away. and yes, i'm spoiled because i live in new york and can see them all the time, but i used to live in cali and i would FLY to new york for shows, and when brian played in west l.a. and i lived all the way in *gasp* the san gabriel valley (!!!) i made it to see him...you never heard me crying "it's too faaaaaaaar" and if they had played lancaster when i was still in l.a., you can be sure my happy ass would have been there first thing. to each their own, you know? if it's not worth it to you, it's not worth it, but then dont bitch that you've never seen them play. if i were these guys and had to read these posts with everyone complaining about the shows being too far away it would leave a pretty bad taste in my mouth for going the extra mile (literally and figuratively) to try and please the "fans". if they did a show in yuor backyard, would it be too far for you to get off the couch and come outside? i'm with joe and desveaux....roadtrip!!!!!!!!! THAT is the spirit! ) *steps down off soap box* rachel......
I'll be there. I guess this makes up for August. Oh the dissapointment.
p.s. Rach, I agree with you, my first thought was not "how far away is it" my first thought was "fuck yea I'll be there". AND i have flown to NY just to see them play, AND if you come to LA, wanna carpool? Post Edited (02-19-07 21:27)
