Gold Cup 2007
LET'S GO AMERICA.
Playing Guatemala tonight at 9 on Fox Soccer Channel. You're either with us or against us, yee-haw. Down with Mexico. -Mike Go listen to my band. We're awesome. http://www.myspace.com/rosencrantzny weallgotwoodandnails
Look at America dominating the region again.
It's hysterical how feared we are in CONCACAF and how mocked we are everywhere else. It's why CONCACAF and CONMEBOL have to join, though I understand that the Trinidads of the world will then be fucked. But is that really any different from the Luxembourgs of the world being fucked? -Mike Go listen to my band. We're awesome. http://www.myspace.com/rosencrantzny weallgotwoodandnails
totally unrelated but mike, fulham is going down this season... but then again i shouldn't talk my club just scraped by... thanks to some excellent playing in the end we're still in the premireship.
ps - are you excited about david beckham playing in your league now? curious to know what you american football fans think of the subject... ----------------- love.christina ----------------- go here please --- http://www.hanson.net/site/hanson/link/1/87042
Canada got absolutely SCREWED out of the game, it should have gone to extra time and who knows what could have happened there even if we'd have had the advantage if it went to PKs.
I didn't know Soldier Field was sold out, that's absolutely awesome and I'm sure there will be at least half of the stadium wishing death on us, which is always fun against those damn dirty Mexicans. And you have become such a Brit, Christina, it's ridonkulous. Fulham needs to show some damn consistency already and I really hope the American experiment doesn't go completely to **** and out with Chris Coleman, though McBride still brings top form, Bocanegra is solid and Dempsey the savior of the club. Who do you support? Beckham coming here is awesome, if not for his play then for his face for the expansion of the popularity of the sport here. He's clearly still got a few tricks up his sleeve and it's nice that McClaren and England have regained their sanity in regards to his ability on a cross and from set-pieces. Onlyproblem istickets for his first game in town cost twice as much (which is still only like $40). MLS is looking good. The games are much better this year with the influx of (once upon a time) world class players like Juan Pablo Angel and Fred who can still just dominate games when they weren't even playing their leagues and really show how far the sport has to go here. -Mike Go listen to my band. west ham through and through. and i don't want to hear ANYTHING about cheaters! tevez is a beast... i just hope he doesn't leave us! we're finally playing well again...
and as far as beckham's concerned i'm glad he's going to america because he's making the sport popular. now people who love football here are following the american tables, and you know the LA Glaxay shirt with Beckham's name on it has sold out... (and he only JUST officially left real madrid!) its only a good thing for american football, that way when the sport becomes more popular more children who are good at it will continue to stick with it... and then USA will be awesome on the worlds stage... that said. don't even talk to me about england, though i am glad that beckham's back... its just disappointment after disappointment. ----------------- love.christina ----------------- go here please --- http://www.hanson.net/site/hanson/link/1/87042

My friends and I drove the same road that got flooded with fourth generation Italians when Italy won the World Cup being fiercely proud of a country they've never been to and that their ancestors left because they couldn't eat any food to celebrate our victory this afternoon and we were the only ones basking in the glow. The only people who had any idea what we were up to with flags flying around and voices hollering were the immigrants who work the car wash; they cheered along because they hate Mexico, too.
If we win a game at Copa America the same thing will happen. We play Argentina on Wednesday and by golly, I have faith. -Mike Go listen to my band. We're awesome. http://www.myspace.com/rosencrantzny weallgotwoodandnails
argentina... now that's tough.

Only 8 members of the Gold Cup squad are going down to Venezuela, and Donovan, Beasley and Dempsey will not be among them.
Stupid, stupid, stupid. -Mike Go listen to my band. We're awesome. http://www.myspace.com/rosencrantzny weallgotwoodandnails
Donovan's committed to the MLS but why we're not sending our A squad I don't really know. I'd assume it's because Bradley wants to see which younger guys can step it up, but the point of accepting the invite was to get our team experience against harder competition in hostile environments (Venezuela maybe being the most hostile in this hemisphere towards us right now). Our entire team desperately needs that. We haven't played one single game on foreign soil since the World Cup.

its true... la galaxy were kicking off about beckham playing in friendlies and they said that he's only allowed to play for england in competitive games... we'll see though.

and the club technically 'owns' the player... so i guess they can make up whatever crazy rules they want! like if you're sheff utd and you decide to sell a player but they're not allowed to play against you in relegation games! BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA BUT THEY WENT DOWN ANYWAY! stupid fools.

Donovan needs to man up and get out of MLS and go back to Europe. I'm glad he had the captaincy taken away from him. Bocanegra played with a fire that hasn't been seen out of Donovan in ages.

Our problem is we don't have a striker on the team. Ching had two open goals and botched them both and Eddie Johnson is cack.
