There is the mp3 of All Along the Watchtower, although there is supposedly video of it somewhere, which would be great to see too.

Sorry to interrupt your self-conversation, but I do agree. Good melody, verse is upbeat, it rocks pretty hard at some points, then the violins do their thing, then holy cow I want to play it again.

I bought 2, and though I wasn't all that disappointed, it wasn't that great. It was just average pop-rock type music. I enjoyed "Our Lives" and some others, but I don't think it was all that great.

Mmm...good stuff. Not a big fan of DMB, but I agree they do the song great. Thanks for the link.

I am sorry to hear about your friend's brother, you have my prayers. I've seen far too many people die because of this disease, but I also know my fair share of survivors, so I know how this can affect people.

I seem to recall ninedays playing All Along the Watchtower sometime, and I was wondering if anyone has a bootleg of it (or other live performances).

If you need randomness to keep things going, I can take care of that. Here is a dream I had two nights ago.
I played a concert with Rivers Cuomo/Weezer two nights ago in some barn/super secret place-type venue. Yes, not only was I at the greatest concert ever, I played in it. What makes this dream weird though, is that when we came back out for the encore, we were in the middle of a business-ty

Does Neo take the red pill or the blue pill? Rephrased, which colored pill represents "the real world" and which represents the "false life"?

I really like Nothing Is Sound. That said, I think most people will like The Beautiful Letdown better, simply because its probably a little catchier. But I really like the more rock-edge of Nothing Is Sound.

Being able to drive, but not having a car SUCKS!! I could so make it to the Valpo show, but I'd have to start walking now to get there.

Out of curiosity, does anyone hear a similarity between the vocal melodic lines of The End of Agent Bobby Roe and Led Zepellin's "Houses of the Holy"?
Ex:
Let me take you to the movies
Well his name was agent Bobby
Maybe I'm a little crazy, but I think I hear something similar.

Last night I saw Weezer and Foo Fighters in concert (along with openers Kaiser Chiefs). Weezer played first, and started off shaky, but by three songs into the set they were rocking supremely. It is also amazing how much more I like their new CD after having heard a lot of those songs live. Bottom line- Weezer alone was worth the price of admission.
After the Weezer set, I was near deaf, then

How in the world did this thread get resurrected?
A capo is a 'tool' (can't think of any other word) that you put on the fretboard to raise at 1/2 step (for each fret you put it on). It allows you to play in different keys using your common open chords.
Also, there is a lot of good Weezer songs out there that are pretty easy. I suggest Buddy Holly, Don't Let Go, or any oth

As much as I agree, I wouldn't count on it.
However, the Live In Buffalo DVD has them performing everything with the edge that A Boy Named Goo had.

The new single, "Better Days", will be on some Target holiday compilation album. Their new CD will be out in early 2006, though I'm not sure if it will have Better Days on it or not.
The official release date of Better Days is tomorrow (9-20). I think the goal was to release Better Days in time enough to possibly win a Grammy (or maybe some other award, don't follow the awa

Better Days is going to be the first single of a Target Holiday Album (or something like that). However, it will not likely be on the album they are actually recording now, which they are supposedly 60ish% done with. Hopefully we get a little more raw (translation= heavier rock) stuff like they did with A Boy Named Goo, but regardless of what it sounds like I have no doubt that it will be great

I'll bite. The reasoning behind calling the game "soccer" here was that it was originally called "AsSOCiation Football", thus bringing the name soccer from the "soc". Yeah, I don't buy it either, but that's how things are here.
Second, I don't think anyone should be surprised the US qualified for WC06. Our region is not exactly the strongest,

True, the LP was pretty heavy and it left me rubbing my shoulder, but it was worth it to me. Genesis, thanks for the link; I'll have to check some of those out. I realize it has very little to do with how you play, but I seem to have a thing for the LP/Tele-type body where the top is also not cutaway.

What do you think about the sound that you get from your Telecaster? I have heard they are rather bright, but I've never actually played on one.
I have played on a low-mid end Ibanez (Strat style, not sure exact model), the Fender Mexi Strat, an Epiphone LP, and a Gibson studio LP. Obviously, I enjoyed the LPs the most, but they are a bit out of my price range. For some odd reason, I

I have been playing for about 2 years now and I finally am considering getting an electric. The thought of building one myself (I have a friend who is a guitar genious, so no worries here) is intriguing. However, I don't want to spend a whole lot of money on it, which eliminates my creation of a super-guitar. My price range is 200-400, and I am asking those of you who are experienced wha

The two albums I find myself listening to most as of late:
Audioslave- Out of Exile
Foo Fighters- In Your Honor (the loud CD)

As my friend pointed out, the "loud" and "not so loud" concept worked against them. It's a great idea, but it results in the songs on each CD being very similar to each other. I have mainly listened to the "loud" CD, and my favorites from it are No Way Back (2), DOA (4), The Last Song (6, a song about Kurt Cobain or Courtney Love by chance?), and The Deepest B

Yes, try being there for your first F1 race. I was pumped, seemed like a fun, international event. As soon as the Michellin cars pulled off, people started booing, leaving, and throwing bottles onto the track. Still, though, it was an interesting event. A bit of a letdown, but I can't say I regret going.
