I know some of you here are into recording your own music. Do any of you do it using your own computer and recording software? I recently downloaded a program called "Kristal" and have begun recording with it. However, I am experiencing some latency, where I can play along with the "metronome" when I am recording, but there is a delay between the metronome and how fast the

I will add that I also agree the two party system is not the way to go. Too many people realize that the " is right and all are wrong" way is not the way we get anywhere.

Question about the Live in Cape 2005 tracks. They seem to be listed in order from 1-32, but there are multiple numbers between 1 and 32 that are not there. Are these "missing" tracks or just odd numbering? Thanks so much to all who contribute to this site.

Each time I download one it seems to only download so much and then says its complete. Then it only makes it through the first few songs, and it quits. Anyone else have the same problem?

Speaking of Brian, would it be greedy to ask for a couple 1-minute clips from some of his new songs?

So when McBride retires or leaves Fulham, you can pick another team low on the rung: Reading- who have both Bobby Convey and Marcus Hahneman.

DVD? I didn't know there was one. But the "Live" CD is worth every penny and more that you pay for it. Absolutely fantastic.

Ah, but for a really brief period of time, "IAMJATWYAYATWM" was up on myspace in full. Sadly, I do not have the full version.

Well, as long as we're recommending labels and whatnot, I'll put Sixthman Records up there (Sister Hazel, Barenaked Ladies). They usually look for bands with previous experience (10+ years), so ND definitely fits that bill.
But, in response to John's original question, I would also say a mix of new/old stuff. You go out and gig to promote the new stuff, but people also want to h

Do come to Indiana again John, though maybe a little more central Indy than Valpo. Bring the rest of the band with you too this time, Indy would love to have you guys!

Admittedly, I don't know much about what I'm talking about here, but I think it would be worth the band's time to consider Sixthman Records. Both the Barenaked Ladies and Sister Hazel are on Sixthman. From what I understand, the artists on Sixthman have far more artistic freedom than other labels. It seems Ninedays would be a good fit.

When you get sick of "In My Pants", try "In the Bathroom". My pastor recommended if you ever thought the message was boring, flip through the songbook and add "In the Bathroom" to the end of each song title.

Well, I read through just about every daily entry and found out that Brian used a Line 6 pedal on "Everything" and that he used his white Les Paul Custom that he bought in high school or sometime early on. Thanks for the link, unfortunately I didn't find out a whole lot, but it was still a pretty good read.

To those in the know, particularly those who actually recorded on the album, I wonder if you could help me figure out specifically what instruments were used to record on SHU. I love the overall sounds of the guitars, especially on The Joneses and Don't Look Back, and I would like to emulate that sound. I love the thickness and "crunchiness" that we hear, yet the sound never goes

Hmm..."IAJATWYAYATWM" was up in entirety on myspace for a short while, but being the genious I am didn't think to download it. Still though, the clip John gave us is pretty decent in length (1:14). The other downloads are now up in the download sections. Let me know if you still need the email to get around the government or anything/anyone else.

Rough version of I Am Just As Through With You...Very nice, though quite rough at the same time. I'm liking it.

Dare I be "that guy" who gets impatient and asks where the songs are? I think not, the statement that they will be up eventually works for me, though I can't wait.

Hello everyone,
I have played guitar for about three years now, and I have yet to figure this out. How do you go about writing a song? I know how I would describe what I want it to sound like, but I can never make it happen. I'll get an idea, but I can never develop it into anything meaningful. Even when I try lyrics, I rarely find myself satisfied with what I've done. So I a

I'll do the number stuff, though I refuse to do any accounting. I'll be submitting my application to Sunset Records.

I can't back this up with a link, but I think I remember seeing that ESPN will broadcast the World Cup games live on their website, like CBS did for the NCAA March Madness tourney.
