This should be fun...The Madding Crowd vs. So Happily Unsatisfied!
yeah Marvelous is in a way the different end of it,
Good Friend's a mutual breakup.. Marvelous is an sudden and one-sided breakup it seems on another note i do hope Marvelous gets realeased as a single sometime, has that radio friendly feel...plus would be cool to have one of Brain's songs out there ~Ryan~
So basically if you have a connection with the song Good Friend, you'll adore it and the memories that come along with it, otherwise, it'll seem dull and plain.
Another great song that may rival Marvelous is the TMC last song Wanna Be. Same idea, sort of, but more painful and tormenting.
TMC vs. SHU
So Far Away > Favorite Song Absolutely > or = Good Friend If I Am > Emily End Up Alone < Marvelous Sometimes > I'm Still Here Bob Dylan > The Joneses 257 Weeks = Don't Look Back Bitter > or = I Feel Fine Back to Me = or < Ocean Crazy > or = Beautiful Revolve > Everything Wanna Be > or = Great Divide All in all, they are a lot closer than my above comparison shows. I feel like there is a little more sound variety in TMC, whereas many of the SHU songs seem to have the same style/sound. Regardless, though, they are both two of my favorite albums.
The Madding Crowd.
I haven't listened to either in a dog's age. -Mike Go listen to my band. We're awesome. http://www.myspace.com/rosencrantzny weallgotwoodandnails
There are some amazing tracks on SHU and i paid a lot more for it but there is no album that is as good as TMC!if you take the best tracks off any album and put them in order and do the same with TMC some songs can win but TMC always wins best album!!
Ben Good friend is awsome, as is the album but some songs dont stand out from each other in the way that all of them do on TMC!
