Hey John,
I do some local promoting of some punk bands in cleveland. here is my take on the venues
They hi-fi is pretty cool if you can pull some strings and get it not to be over 21. I also think peabodys is pretty cool the guy who does the booking is really cool
Also have you thought of the grog shop in cleveland heights? It is a small venue but they just remodeled it and moved and I think it is a pretty cool place for a show. They have a variety of music acts that perform. You might want to look into that venue. It is about 10 mins out of the city in this trendy part of town called coventry.
Hope that helps
Sarah

I think this post is great. What other band asks their fans for this type of input?

not that it's gonna happen...
but vintage viynl in St. Louis is awesome...you can do an instore, play acoustic or full....and they usually promote those things pretty heavily.
there's some other places around STL...hi-pointe, creepy crawl, off broadway...mississippi nights....

Another post for Chicago!
Better yet, drive 150 miles south and play in Champaign! Then I'd have no excuse not to go. I'm not too up on what venues there are, but there are at least a few places to play....I just have to check which ones will allow a 19-year old to walk in.

You could come play some college shows in Utah!! UVSC usually has a pretty good turn out (Lifehouse, Foo Fighters, Counting Crows, etc. I think were almost all sold out).
Or you could just come to my house .

If you came up to Michigan that would be awesome. I'd definately go. There are a few clubs in and around Detroit that you could hit up, Saint Andrew's Hall is probably the most popular. The Shelter, Clutch Cargos, and the Royal Oak music theater just to name a couple more. Keep us in mind!

St. Andrew's is an awesome place to see a show.
Royal Oak is nice, the setup reminds me a lot of the Emerald, where they played last year.

Do you do fund raising concerts for poor little bandies who are trying to get to the Rose Bowl Parade this January? If not, my vote goes to Louisville. I also feel stranded.
