I know no one this board probably likes him anyway but I am not surprised now as I was before (I did like 'take it all away' and I brought it).
Has anyone listened to his new album 'you stand watching' it's way too pop and know were as good as last years 'take it all away' which was produced by the goo goo dolls frontman.

I read this new album was done in like 3 weeks this summer and he recorded the vocals while he had a bad throat which apparently gave a soul texture to his voice and recorded it any way. Totally a bad idea to record an album if your not well, then produce it youreself in less than a month ,crazy!

If anyone wants to hear it here's the link:

I don't really like any john mayer songs, I think he's boring and well over rated. Gavin degraw and howie day are so much better than him.

Have you seen him live? Have you seen him play? No? Then you have no grounds to comment on. His radio songs are average, his albums are glorious. His live show is nothing short of inspiring.

I think the John Mayer Trio will set a lot of people straight, at last we get to hear a bit of his axeing in more acessable singles. Marvelous!

The new one is good to "Who do you think I was?".

Yes and yes and he's still boring, he closes his eyes too much when he's singing

And if you were such a big fan wouldn't his singles be better than average since they are whats on the album
