What are you thinking/doing right now?
I was in the *other side* of the town I live in today and there was a county council poster on the Railway footbridge that said, "NO FOREIGN BEGGARS".

Was that a proud declaration that there aren't any or a stern warning that they should all go and starve somewhere else?
A little of each, methinks. But I've never actually seen anyone foreign in that area, nor anyone with a salary less than 30 grand a year. *Is very very glad she lives on this side of town*

I have been working for the summer holidays in my local supermarket. Having been there for four months now and leaving in two weeks I think I am going to get my first complaint... from a crazy woman...
There was a really long queue for the checkouts and all of the staff in the store (only a local, so there were four of us) were on the tills. Just as I was about to serve someone, a woman butts in without queueing and demands to be served. I tell her calmly that she move to the back of the queue, then suddenly an explosion of rage comes over her and she starts shouting, very, very loudly (clearly to the embarresment of her 12 year old son).
I regard myself as a very calm, controlled person, and to this outburst I simpy say again, 'please step to the back of the queue ma'am'. Yet she continued shouts of 'its an outrage...', 'I havent skipped a queue in my life...' blah blah blah.
By this time my friend on the checkout next to me was backing me up by calmly asking her to step to the back. At this point her husband enters the store and quickly also becomes enraged. Now as you can imagine this was all a little funny, how a middle aged couple were yelling at two perfectly calm cashiers in the middle of a busy supermarket. So a smile comes over my friends face, and I myself also struggle to hide a laugh. At this the guy blows his top and thretens to drag both of us outside and 'teach us a lesson or two', also calling us 'arrogant', clearly unaware of the meaning of the word.
He demanded the name of the boss off another cashier who actually happened to BE the boss! So he asked for the name of the area manager. So now I am probably going to be asked to apologise to some jerk, which I am not going to do, especially as he threatened assualt...lol!! To be honest I am quite looking forward to work to see what happens, I love a little excitment in a incredulously boring job.
Sorry if I have bored you but this is the most interesting thing to happen at work for a while.

Ha... funnny. People get to uppity about the smallest things. I'm thinking right now that I start school in two days and then a month from then I get to go visit Boston John and spend a long weekend with him... how lovely!

I'm thinking that the weather outside is a little bit of crazy. Its absolutely coming down out there, and yet, in here I just had to lose my t-shirt and mop my brow because it's oven-esque.
The current climate is entirely bonkers. Rain is not supposed to be warm.

In a related thought, I am not at all pleased that my freezer is currently devoid of the iced vanilla creaminess...
